Each year, we welcome 270 students into Year 7, organised into 9 form classes. Our admissions process is designed to ensure a smooth transition for students and families, with our dedicated team on hand to assist with any questions you may have.

Year 7 Admissions

Applications for admission in Year 7 must be made direct to the Local Authority by the closing date published in the Secondary Education in Essex booklet.

To aid with this decision we hold an Open Evening in October and Open Mornings throughout September and October.

Appeals

If your child is not offered a place at our school, you can appeal against the decision. You need to make an appeal within 20 days of receiving the decision letter or email.

Mid-year Admissions

All admissions are administered by the school in accordance with the DfE’s Admissions Code of Practice.

Parents wishing to apply to the school from another secondary school, must make an application directly with the school by completing our In Year Admission (Mid-Year) Application Form.

​Please print and complete the form and return to the school for the attention of Mrs Z Smart. Forms are also available from the school upon request.
