It gives us great pleasure to introduce our two Head Students, Ruby and Cameron.
Having applied for the role and been successful, they now lead our student leadership team and serve as outstanding ambassadors and role models for all students at Mayflower High School. We thank them for their ongoing contributions to the life of the school.

My name is Ruby and I am a sixth form student studying Spanish, Politics and Psychology. I have been a student at Mayflower since Year 7 and have loved my experience so far. I am honoured to have been selected as one of the head students at Mayflower this year. The sixth form council has already begun collaborating with the student body and I look forward to being further involved in this process, ensuring every student has a positive experience at our school. My goal is for everyone to benefit from the amazing support and opportunities available at Mayflower, just as I have. Please do not hesitate to speak to me or Cameron, our job is to support every student.

My name is Cameron Ball, and I am a Sixth Form student currently studying A-Level History, Politics, and Psychology. I was given the honour of being chosen as one of this year’s Head Students, and I am looking forward to building on our already strong school community.
I strongly believe that having a positive experience is the most important part of coming to school. Our aim as Head Students this year is to ensure all students feel supported and reassured, as well as enabling the school community to reach its full potential.
I have found that getting involved in the opportunities the school offers really helps to make your time here more rewarding. These opportunities—from Year 7 right through to the Sixth Form—are a fantastic way to engage with school life, form friendships, and build lasting relationships.
